Josephine
(American Motor Boat, 1916)

In New York Harbor, prior to her World War I era Naval service.
This pleasure craft was ordered delivered to the Navy on 3 August 1917 and was placed in commission as USS Josephine (SP-913) on 20 September of that year. She was renamed SP-913 on 11 April 1918. "Having proved unsuit(able)", on 6 July 1918 she was directed to be returned to her owner, and this action was carried out on 20 December 1918.
