Comet
(American Fishing Boat, 1910)

At what appears to be the Puget Sound Navy Yard, Bremerton, Washington, possibly when she was taken over by the Navy for World War I service.
Comet was acquired by the Navy on 26 November 1917 and placed in commission on 15 February 1918 as USS Comet (SP-772). She was returned to her owner, the San Juan Fishing & Packing Company of Seattle, Washington, on 23 August 1918.

The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
