S.S. Dubhe (Dutch Freighter, 1912)
Under repair, circa 1918, while painted in Dutch neutrality markings.
Seized by the U.S. Government on 20 March 1918, this freighter
was acquired by the Navy on 1 April 1918 and placed in commission
as USS Dubhe (ID # 2562) on 2 April. On 6 April 1918,
having seen no active service, she was decommissioned and returned
to the U.S. Shipping Board.
