USS Dean II
(SP-98)

In an icy port during the winter of 1917-1918, with several other patrol craft. USS Coronet (SP-194) is alongside Dean II, while SC-8 is partially visible in the left distance.
Acquired by the Navy on 2 May 1917, Dean II was placed in commission on 10 May 1917 and decommissioned on 31 May 1918 for return to her owner.
Coronet was acquired on 20 July 1917, commissioned on 24 September 1917, and stricken from the Navy list on 5 August 1919.
