American Fishing Vessels

Tied up together, possibly while under consideration for U.S. Navy service, circa 1918-1919.
One of these "menhaden fishermen" is Dolphin (built as Virginia in 1908), which was reported as having been commissioned on 7 February 1919 as USS Dolphin (SP-318). She was, however, not actually taken over by the Navy.

The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
