Eaglet
(American Motor Boat)

Photographed prior to her World War I era Naval service.
This pleasure craft was built in 1911 (or, perhaps, 1909) by George Lawley & Sons of Neponset, Massachusetts. Owned by F.L. Budlong of Providence, Rhode Island, she was taken over by the Navy on 16 June 1917 and placed in commission on 29 June 1917 as USS Eaglet (SP-909). She was ordered sold on 30 March 1921 and sold on 14 July 1921. However that sale was cancelled and she was resold on 12 May 1922.

The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
