Lynx II
(U.S. Motor Boat, 1917)

Photographed at the Boston Navy Yard, circa Spring 1917, shortly before she was acquired by the U.S. Navy for use as a patrol boat.
Built by the Herreshoff Mfg. Co. of Bristol, Rhode Island, specifically for patrol service, she was acquired by the Navy on 14 June 1917 and commissioned on 9 July as USS Lynx II (SP-730). She was renamed SP-730 in 1918. Stricken on 13 June 1919, she was sold on 2 September 1919.

The original print is mounted on the "SP" record card for this vessel.
