Snark
(American Motor Boat, 1917)

Photographed at the time of her completion. She was one of nine 62'4" motor boats of the Apache type built by Herreshoff Manufacturing Company, Bristol, Rhode Island, specifically for patrol duty. Turned over to the Navy for World War I service, she was commissioned as USS Snark (SP-1291) on 30 August 1917 and returned to her owner on 29 March 1919.
