Leslie J. Fulton (U.S. Fishing Boat, 1936)
Photographed prior to her Navy service.
She was acquired by the Navy on 19 November 1940, commissioned
as USS Waxbill (AMc-15) on 26 November 1940 and completed
conversion to a coastal minesweeper on 14 July 1941. Stricken
on 14 October 1944, she was transferred to the U.S. Maritime
Commission in January 1945.
