(U.S. Steam Launch, 1904)

Photographed prior to her World War I Naval service, with a man on her foredeck communicating via semaphore flags. She is flying the U.S. Yacht Ensign at her stern.
The Navy placed this boat in commission on 28 April 1917 as USS Mist (SP-567) and formally acquired her on 12 May 1917. She was returned to her owner on 3 February 1919.

The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
