USS Patrol No. 10 (SP-85)

In port during World War I.
Built in 1917 by Greenport Basin & Construction Company, Greenport, Long Island, and originally called Greenport Hull 288, this motor boat was acquired by the Navy on 3 May 1917 and commissioned on 3 October 1917. She was sold on 5 August 1921. Patrol No. 10 was similar to two boats built for Russia and taken over by the U.S. Navy, Hetman (SP-1150) and Russ (SP-1151), ex Greenport Hull 277 and Greenport Hull 278.
The superstructure of USS Patrol No. 6 (SP-54) is visible in the left background. The boat at far right, with numbers on her bow, is USS Daiquiri (SP-1285).

The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
