USS Raazoo (SP-508)


In port during World War I.
Built in 1916 as a civilian pleasure craft and formerly named Boomerang II, Raazoo was acquired by the Navy on 2 June 1917 and commissioned on 21 July 1917. Her assigned armament of a single 1-pounder gun is visible here, mounted on her foredeck. Raazoo was returned to her owner on 3 May 1919.
