Sovereign
(American Steam Yacht, 1911)

Underway, prior to World War I.
This 160-foot turbine-powered yacht was built for commuting to New York City. Acquired by the Navy on 14 June 1918 and commissioned as USS Sovereign (SP-170), she was stricken from the Navy list on 23 April 1919 and returned to her owner.

The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
