Crowded with passengers during a pre-World War I excursion on Lake Michigan. Photographed by George Leusch.
This ship was ordered taken over on 6 April 1918 for conversion at a Great Lakes shipyard for troop carrying purposes. Commissioned as USS Theodore Roosevelt (ID # 1478), she was sold by the Ninth Naval District on 1 July 1919 to the Cleveland Steamship Company.

The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
