Chichota
(American Steam Yacht, 1901)

Underway on the Hudson River, New York, prior to World War I. The passenger steamer Hendrick Hudson is in the background.
Formerly named Niagara III, this small steam yacht was acquired by the Navy under lease on 1 May 1917 and placed in commission on 5 June 1917 as USS Chichota (SP-65). She was returned to her owner, Edwin Gould of New York City, on 21 December 1918.
