Halftone reproduction of a photograph taken circa 1943-1946,
while the ship was in service as a U.S. Army Hospital Ship.
Built in 1943 as the "Liberty" Ship George Washington
Carver, in 1946 she reverted to that name for use as an Army
Transport.
