Halftone reproduction of a photograph taken in 1946.
Built in 1943 as the "Liberty" Ship George Washington
Carver, this ship served as the Army Hospital Ship Dogwood
from mid-1944 until early 1946. She then reverted to her original
name for employment as a transport.
