(American Freighter, 1918)

Probably photographed when first completed, circa October 1918.
This 3000 gross ton World War I emergency program wooden freighter, named for the city of Aberdeen on Grays Harbor, Washington, was built by the Grays Harbor Motorship Corporation. Though inspected on 28 October 1918 by the Thirteenth Naval District and assigned the registry ID # 3555, she was not taken over by the Navy.
