Elizabeth (American Motor Boat)
Photographed prior to her U.S. Navy service.
Built by the Gulf Fisheries Company of Galveston, Texas, and
owned by W.L. Moody, Jr., of Galveston, this pleasure craft was
taken over by the Navy for World War I service on or about 2
November 1917. Commissioned as USS Elizabeth (SP-1092)
and later renamed SP-1092, she was wrecked near Freeport,
Texas, on 15 November 1918.
