USS Seattle (Armored Cruiser # 11, ex-Washington)
Halftone reproduction of a photograph looking aft at the ship's
bridge, conning tower, foremast and forward ten-inch gun turret,
taken while she was underway in 1919. It was published in that
year as one of ten images in a "Souvenir Folder" concerning
USS Seattle.
Note the dense coal smoke, and the wind deflectors recently fitted
to the bridge face.
