Iwo Jima Operation, 1945
"Digging in on Iwo Jima was a job that had to be done in
a hurry by Marine units as they hit the rugged beach. In this
photo a bulldozer, amtracks and a crane have just been landed
to aid in the offensive against the entrenched Japanese."
