Taken by Sergeant Bob Cooke, the photograph shows one Marine
aiming his M1 Rifle while the other stands ready with a Browning
Automatic Rifle (BAR).
The original photograph came from Rear Admiral Samuel Eliot Morison's
World War II history project working files.
