Honolulu, Hawaii Territory

Panoramic photograph, showing Pacific Fleet armored cruisers tied up in Honolulu Harbor, circa September-October 1909, during the first leg of a cruise to the western Pacific. Diamond Head is in the far right distance.
Six armored cruisers (of the eight which took part in this cruise) are visible. One is in the left distance (beyond the white, two-masted sailboat). USS West Virginia (Armored Cruiser # 5) is alongside the left-most pier. Four are alongside the piers in the center and right center. Of those, the one at left (in the center of the photo) is USS Tennessee (Armored Cruiser # 10).

Photo from the 1909-1924 album of Vice Admiral Olaf M. Hustvedt, USN (Retired), who was a Midshipman in USS West Virginia at the time this image was made. Courtesy of Rick Hauck, 2006.
