S.S. Amberstone
(British Freighter, 1917)

This freighter was built on the Great Lakes in 1917 as S.S. Lake Worth and served in the U.S. Navy from February 1918 to August 1919 as USS Lake Worth (ID # 2997). She was in commercial service as the Belgian S.S. Phoenicier in 1920-1924, the British S.S. Amberstone from 1924 to 1927, then as the Norwegian S.S. Ørland. She was sunk by German aircraft in Norwegian waters on 29 April 1940.
