Navy Recruiting Party

"On the Job" in front of the old Customs House at the corner of Sixteenth and Arapahoe Streets, Denver, Colorado, sometime in 1926.
Note the sign, linking Navy enlistment opportunities to a film or stage presentation of Jules Verne's adventure story "Michael Strogoff: The Courier of the Czar", and the Recruiting Service armbands.
Chief Boatswain's Mate Philip Andrew Carey, USN (Retired, but recalled to active duty), is at the right end of this group.

Collection of BMC Philip A. Carey, donated by his widow, Mrs. Omah (Munier) Swanson, 1969.
