Reads the sign marking the Malinta Tunnel on Corregidor, Manila Bay, Philippines.
The sign reads: "General Douglas MaCarthur had his headquarters here from December 30, 1941 to March 12, 1942. Here too the Government of the Commonwealth was transferred on December 24, 1941. At the West Entrance on Rizal Day Manuel L. Quezon and Sergid Osmeña took their oath of office for their second term as President and Vice-President, respectively, of the Philippines. Near the East Entrance on May 6, 1942 the defenders of Corregidor made their desparate stand."
"Donated by Veterans Federation of the Philippines."
