Visits the Corregidor Monument on Corregidor Island, Manila Bay,

taken by Journalist First Class W.G. Broome, is dated 8 August
1977.
On 11 March 1942 then-Lieutenant Bulkeley piloted USS PT-41
when she evacuated U.S. Army General Douglas MacArthur, with
members of the General's family and his party, from the island
during the Japanese campaign to capture the Philippines.
