originally USS Eagle 21 (PE-21)

Off San Diego, California, circa 1919-1921.
This ship was named in honor of Lieutenant Commander Roy A. Bothwell, USCG, who was lost when USCGC Tampa was torpedoed and sunk on 26 September 1918.
