Zaragoza
(Mexican training ship, 1892)

Probably photographed in October 1892 while at Genoa, Italy, for the 400th anniversary of the discovery of America by Columbus.
Zaragoza had been completed in France earlier in 1892. Immediately to starboard is the Argentinian protected cruiser Veinticinco de Mayo. The next ship to the right, with the two tall stacks and square rig, may be one of the three Spanish cruisers of the Reina Mercedes type.
