Large Destroyer -- "Scheme # 3 ... Sept. 10, 1917"

The third, and least ambitious, of three initial comparative designs prepared by Bureau of Construction and Repair preliminary design personnel, under the heading "Preliminary Design No.192", to investigate design issues involved in building new large destroyers. This scheme employed the same propulsion power as that used in contemporary standard fleet destroyers, the Wickes (Destroyer # 75) class.
This plan provided four 5-inch guns and a speed of 29.5 knots in a ship 330 feet long on the load water line (L.W.L.), 32 feet in beam, with a normal displacement of 1,575 tons.
Note: The original document was ink on linen (black on white).

The original plan is in the 1911-1925 "Spring Styles Book".
