Remains of a merchant ship that exploded, causing a fire on another British freighter, 17 July 1943.
Debris in the water includes some of the gasoline and oil drums which exploded and were thrown over 150 feet in the air. LCVP in the right center appears to be from USS Joseph T. Dickman (APA-13).
