U.S. Army Ordnance supply base in England

Tractors haul supplies around an overflow materiel yard, 28 July 1944. The yard, a former ball field, holds supplies that exceededed the capacity of base warehouses during the Normandy campaign. The base supports ordnance replacement and repair with the over 250,000 items in the ordnance catalog.
Note that many of the men present are African-Americans.
