Pearl Harbor LST Explosion, 21 May 1944


Men watch as fire fighters battle flames on USS LST-480. Photographed on 22 May 1944, the day after the disaster.
Note the men working from the LVT(2) amphibious tractor in the center. The LVT wears the nickname "Captain Blood".
