Atglen (American Barge, 1900).
Probably saw U.S. Navy service (under registry ID # 1315) in 1917-1919

Atglen, a 150 gross ton barge, was built at South Rondout, New York City, in 1900. She was reportedly taken over for U.S. Navy service in mid-November 1917. If this action was actually carried out, she probably was used in the New York Harbor area for the rest of World War I and returned to her owners sometime in 1919.

This page features the only view we have concerning the barge Atglen, which probably saw U.S. Navy service under registry ID # 1315 in 1917-1919.
