Caroline, a 42.5 foot motor boat, was built in 1912 for use as a pleasure craft. She was leased by the Navy in May 1917, placed in commission as USS Caroline (SP-1105), and served for the rest of World War I on patrol duties at San Diego, California. The boat was returned to her owner, R. Brackenbury of San Diego, in December 1918.
This page features the only view we have concerning the motor boat Caroline, which served as USS Caroline (SP-1105) in 1917-1918.
