Catherine (American Covered Lighter, 1904).
Later U.S. Navy Freight Lighter # 126

Catherine, a 620-ton (displacement) wooden non-self-propelled covered barge, was built in 1904. She was inspected by the Third Naval District in June 1918 and assigned the registry ID # 3059. Apparently chartered at about that time, she reportedly became Freight Lighter # 126. Her Navy career appears to have ended by mid-1919.

This page features the only view we have concerning the lighter Catherine of 1904, which became the U.S. Navy's Freight Lighter # 126 during World War I
