Economy (American Barge, 1909)

Economy, a 451 gross ton barge, was built in 1909 by Alsen of New York City. In October 1917, while owned by J.H. Flannery of that city, she was inspected by the Third Naval District and assigned the Navy registry ID # 1667. Though reportedly acquired by the Navy in mid-December of that year, this action does not appear to have actually taken place.

This page features the only view we have concerning the barge Economy.
