Motor Yacht Hoqua (1914);
Later USS Hoqua (SP-142), 1917-1919

Hoqua, a 35-ton motor yacht, was built in 1914 at Morris Heights, New York. She was acquired by the Navy in June 1917 and commissioned the next month as USS Hoqua (SP-142). Assigned to the Third Naval District, she served as a patrol craft in the New York City area and at New Haven, Connecticut. Hoqua was returned to her owner in February 1919.
