J. Reyner & Son (American Motor Boat, 1916).
Served as USS J. Reyner & Son (SP-869) in 1918-1920.
Was also known as Reyner & Son while in Navy service.

J. Reyner & Son, a 64-foot motor work boat, was built at West Norfolk, Virginia, in 1916. She was purchased by the Navy in January 1918 and placed in commission as USS J. Reyner & Son (SP-869). During the next two years she was employed in the vicinity of Norfolk and Hampton Roads, initially by the Collector of Customs and, after August 1919, by the American Red Cross. In April 1920 the craft was transferred to the Army Corps of Engineers.

This page features our only views of the motor boat J. Reyner & Son, which served as USS J. Reyner & Son (SP-869) during the World War I era.
