Jaydee III (Motor Boat, 1916);
Later USS Jaydee III (SP-692), 1917-1919

Jaydee III, a 45-foot motor boat, was built by the Matthews Boat Company in 1916 for use as a pleasure craft. Acquired in May 1917, she was placed in commission in June as USS Jaydee III (SP-692). During World War I, the craft served in the Detroit River, Michigan, on patrol and traffic control duties. Jaydee III was returned to her owners in March 1919.

This page features our only views of the motor boat Jaydee III, later USS Jaydee III (SP-692).
