Kanised (American Motor Boat, 1909).
Previously named Tuscanola and Nahmeoka.
Served as USS Kanised (SP-439) in 1917-1919

Kanised, a 100-foot (61-ton) motor boat, was built in 1909 at Long Branch, New Jersey, as a pleasure craft. She was originally named Tuscanola and later Nahmeoka. The Navy acquired her in May 1917, placing her in commission as USS Kanised (SP-439). During World War I, she operated as a patrol and mail boat in the vicinity of Hampton Roads, Virginia. Stricken from the List of Naval Vessels in March 1919, Kanised was sold in December of that year.

This page features the only views we have concerning the motor boat Kanised, previously named Tuscanola and Nahmeoka, which served as USS Kanised (SP-439) in 1917-1919.
