Miss Toledo (Motor Boat, 1917).
Taken over by the Navy in 1918

Miss Toledo was a 60-foot motor pleasure boat built at Benton Harbor, Michigan, in 1917. She was leased by the Navy in late April 1918 and given the registration number SP-1711, but appears not to have entered service. Miss Toledo was returned to her owner in mid-December 1918.

Miss Toledo
(U.S. Motor Boat, 1917)

Photographed at the yard of her builder, the Dachel-Carter Boat Company, of Benton Harbor, Michigan, circa 1917-18. A Navy officer and at least one Sailor are among the persons standing on her decks.
Acquired by the Navy on 30 April 1918 and given the designation SP-1711, this boat is not known to have performed any active service. She was returned to her owner on 14 December 1918.

The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
