Weepoose (American Motor Boat, 1911).
Served as the USS Weepoose (SP-450) in 1917-1920

Weepoose, a 60-foot motor pleasure boat, was built at Salisbury, Maryland, in 1911. Acquired by the Navy in early July 1917, she was placed in commission as USS Weepoose (SP-450) in October of that year. For the rest of World War I, and perhaps for some time afterwards, the craft was employed in the vicinity of New York, protecting anti-submarine nets off Staten Island during at least some of this time. She was ordered sold in March 1920, but was instead transferred to the Department of Agriculture's Forestry Department in late September 1920.

This page features all the views we have concerning the motor boat Weepoose, which was USS Weepoose (SP-450) in 1917-1920.
