Wistaria (Motor Boat).
Acquired by the Navy in 1917 under identification # SP-259, but rejected for service

Wistaria, a 52-foot motor pleasure boat, was built prior to World War I by the Elco Company, presumably at Bayonne, New Jersey. She was acquired by the Navy in May 1917 for section patrol duties, and given the identification number SP-259. Subsequently, however, she was found unsuitable for Navy work and was returned to her owner in December 1917.

This page features all the views we have concerning the motor boat Wistaria.
