Photo #: USN 1143786 USS Bradley (DE-1041) Being trailed by a Soviet Project 56 (NATO Kotlin) class destroyer in the Philippine Sea while observing the Soviet worldwide naval exercise "Okean" in April 1970. The Soviet destroyer was probably Vozbuzhdennyy, which participated in "Okean" and then deployed to the Indian Ocean between July 1970 and February 1971. The other Soviet Pacific Fleet Kotlin known to have been involved in "Okean" was Dalnevostochnyy Komsomolets. Official U.S. Navy Photograph.
