USS Buck (SP-1355), 1917-1918.
Renamed SP-1355 in 1918

Buck, a 33' 6" motor work boat, was built in 1911. In August 1917 she was leased by the Navy from her owner, the Conservation Commission of Maryland, for World War I service. Commissioned as USS Buck (SP-1355) in September, she was employed as a tender at Norfolk, Virginia, for the rest of the conflict. The craft, which was renamed SP-1355 in April 1918, was placed out of commission and returned to her owner in late November of that year.

This page features the only view we have concerning USS Buck (SP-1355).
