USS Barracuda (SP-845), 1917-1919

USS Barracuda, a 60-foot section patrol boat, was built in 1912 at Marblehead, Massachusetts, as a pleasure craft. She was leased by the Navy in June 1917 and placed in commission at the end of October 1917. For the rest of World War I, and for a few months after the November 1918 Armistice, Barracuda was assigned to patrol duties in the New York Harbor area. She was returned to her owner after decommissioning in mid-February 1919.

This page features the only view we have related to USS Barracuda (SP-845).
