Eliza Hayward (SP-1414), 1917-1918

Eliza Hayward, a small sailing sloop, was acquired by the Navy in August 1917. She served in the Fifth Naval District in noncommissioned status during the next year and was returned to her owner in September 1918.

Photographed during World War I, probably with a Navy crew.
This small sailing vessel was acquired by the Navy on 24 August 1917 for noncommissioned service and was returned to her owner on 24 September 1918.

The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
