USS Eugene F. Price (SP-839), 1917-1920

USS Eugene F. Price, 168 gross ton minesweeper and patrol vessel, was built in 1874 as a civilian fishing trawler. She was acquired by the Navy and placed in commission in June 1917. For the rest of World War I and briefly afterwards, she operated in southern New England waters. Eugene F. Price was stricken from the Navy list in May 1919 and sold in January 1920.
