USS Fearless (SP-724), 1917-1921.
Originally the civilian fishing vessel Fearless (1877)

Fearless, a 121 gross ton "Menhaden Fisherman" type fishing vessel built in 1877, was acquired by the Navy in mid-May 1917 and placed in commission as USS Fearless (SP-724) early in June. She was employed as a tug, and perhaps as a minesweeper and patrol vessel, in the waters of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland during and after World War I. Decommissioned and stricken in 1919, Fearless was sold at the end of September 1921.

This page features the only view we have concerning USS Fearless (SP-724).
